Money

Canadian Currency Exchange is a useful kit for teaching children about money, and much less expensive than using real money!  Each kit contains 110 plastic coins, 100 play money bills, a plastic money tray and activity suggestions.  $23.25 each kit. 

 

 

Children earn and spend money as they move around the board playing the Money Bags game.  Each game includes a game board, Canadian play money, 4 markers and 1 die.  For 2 to 4 players, ages 7 and up; $22.25 each. 

 

 While playing Real-World Math children learn about personal finances and how to balance a cheque-book.  The game includes the game board, 6 markers, 50 unexpected events cards and 20 cheque register sheets.  For 2 to 6 players, ages 8 and up; $23.25 each.

The Hexagram Weights are a very practical set that allow comparisons between weights or addition.  All weights are a 3cm hexagram; the set has 54 pieces in the following configurations: 20 1g, 20 5g, 10 10g, four 20g for a total weight of 300g.  Each kit is $10.99.

 

 Overhead Centimeter grids are great for area and perimeter measurement; they are also very useful for teaching graphing.  Each grid comes with an activity guide; $2.99 each.
